CJ's Annual Open Studio Dec. 13th

Miss Mindy and I will be hosting our Annual Holiday Open Studio next Saturday, December 13th from 5-10 at our communal studio space in Glendale, California.

It's an eclectic and surreal kind of place that houses not only my work, but art by my entire family! (My grandmother and grandfather were artists and illustrators in the 40's, 50's, 60's. Think Jim Flora, Raoul Dufy, mid century meets folk art).

We'll have new prints, ever-so-small arts and ornaments, new originals, books, stationary and more for sale. Come to visit, or come to shop. It's a no pressure environment!

Just to entice you even more, we'll be firing up our outdoor fire pit, and serving snacks, coffee, and peppermint hot cocoa!

Where the Wild Art is - Show this Thurs

Maurice Sendak is probably my favorite illustrator of all time, and I've had the honor to be included in a show of his work at The Wonderful World Art Gallery in Culver City! Come peruse some of his wonderfully detailed and super fantastic works and take a peek at my own artistic "creature" tribute! Reception is this Thursday night (Nov 13th) 7-10pm at 9517 Culver Boulevard, Los Angeles.

For the Holidays (Nov. & December Event-mania)

Well, the holidays are around the corner, and we are "nesting", making art, and gearing up for the holidays. This also means that Miss Mindy and I will be showing in a few local shows with small arts and prints - perfect for the holidays!

On Saturday Nov 22th 4-8pm, visit a tiny local group show curated by CJ titled "In Memory of Trees". Peruse artwork and prints by CJ Metzger, Miss Mindy and others, as well as the abundance of fair-trade treasures at the lovely - Regeneration - in Eagle Rock. (1649 Colorado Blvd. LA CA 90041)
